Voice your Support for Class VI Primacy
The EPA?s public comment period for Class VI primacy is here and we need your help!
Texans across our state can make a difference in expanding carbon capture and storage by sharing your support and perspective with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin.
As the nation?s leading energy producer, Texas regulators have the experience and resources to safely oversee carbon capture and storage (CCS) development. Primacy allows the Railroad Commission to apply their local knowledge and expertise using the same rigorous federal, guidelines that protect our air and water.
Today, about one-third of CCS project applications nationally are in Texas ? a testament to the immense economic opportunity ahead for our state but also demonstrates why state resources are needed to alleviate backlogs and move projects forward in a timely manner. These projects will usher in new jobs, tax revenue streams, and better air quality to the Lone Star State, and you can play an important role in seeing these opportunities come to our state.
We urge you to submit a supportive comment today. It just takes a few minutes to make your voice heard, but your action can benefit our state for decades to come.
